Riddle of the Month

We hope we can have a riddle each month to test how well you can figure things out! Here is the riddle for the month of September. Post a comment with what you think the answer is! We will announce the winner and/or the answer at the end of the month.

There are two fathers and two sons, and they all go fishing together. Each one caught one fish, but the total number of fish was 3 (and no fish were lost in any way). How can this be?

Can you figure it out?

Because it was a man with his father and his son. This was a great riddle, it was even generational. What do I win?? :o)

As to whether or not you have won, my lips are sealed until the end of the month when I am supposed to announce the winner/answer! However, if you DO win, how about a...pie for a prize?? :-) Only then I would be rewarding Mr. Ortega instead of you! :-)

That point about rewarding Mr. Ortega is well taken - however, I am sure the entire family would enjoy it :)

Looking forward with great anticipation to the results!
