We had originally planned to move on Tuesday. That didn't happen because of a big snowstorm that came up, with not only snow but high winds too, causing lots of drifting and snow blowing around everywhere. So we postponed the move to Wednesday. Thankfully, Wednesday dawned clear and bright, and we had a beautiful day for a move, though it was cold. A big THANK YOU to the Von Holtens, Carlsons, and Inyarts for helping us move...I highly doubt we could have done it without you all.
In the morning Mom headed to the new house early for setting up our phone, and the rest of us ladies helped move the less heavy boxes from the sunroom to the foyer for the guys to carry out to the truck.
That took up the whole morning and while the men were finishing up we ladies drove the vans, which were also loaded with boxes, to the new house to get ready for lunch (graciously provided by the Inyart ladies). After unloading the truck, the guys drove back to the old house for another load and all the girls stayed behind and started getting things organized in our room.
The men arrived very hungry and ready for a hearty dinner (graciously provided by the Von Holten ladies). This load was mostly heavy furniture, and since they didn't need any female help, Anna, Megan and Raeanne taught Tara and I how to play Dutch Blitz and we had a lot of fun doing that - I'm sure the guys appreciated the fact that we were taking our ease while they were breaking their backs... :-)
We all fell into bed that night exausted, but glad to be in. Thanks to all who prayed and helped!

So glad you are in! Now for the real settling part of "settled in" :0) May the unpacking go as smoothly as the packing did(is that ever the case?) :)
