I had a great birthday and day-after-my-birthday. On my birthday we went to the retirement home as usual and then afterward went out to lunch with our dear friends the Chidlow ladies (thanks for the lovely rose-petal angel food cakes, Em!). Then we all came back to our house and walked the path in our back meadow, went for a row on the pond and did some more one-stroke painting. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the orange cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake infused with hazelnut tea (it was really more like a big slab of RICH fudge) that we brought back from the restaurant...
Then on Friday Opa & Oma came up for the afternoon, and then out for Dad's and my combined birthday dinner at a yummy French restaurant!
Now, I won't bore you with a pictorial account of all the lovely gifts I received from family and friends...but here are a couple of very fun ones:
Thanks everyone for a great birthday! :-)

Dear Kathryn,
Happy Birthday! Gotta love the pictures, I'm just glad you didn't include that weird one of me looking really excited! LOL! Love, Sokea and Emily
Actually, I couldn't put that pic up since Sokea took it with her camera...however, she has promised to bring me a CD of all the pictures she took so that photo may appear here to haunt you yet... :-)
Thanks so much for coming over - it was a blast!
It looks like you had a wonderful birthday Kathryn. Thanks for the update!
What kind of camera exactly did you get?
Hannah DeL
My camera is a Canon Rebel XTi! It's REALLY nice and takes such great quality photos (mom says it better for that money...). I've been taking LOTS of pictures and I know I'll be taking even more when the more flowers and the crabapples start blooming...
Now since you have a camera Kathryn, where are the pictures?!?!?
