12 are left...says Cole
Since this is a riddle, I am guessing that 0 are left. Do you want my reasoning now or at the end of the month?
Mrs. Ortega
You might as well give your reasoning now, since we include that in the answer at the end of the month.
Here's my reasoning - I figure that with 12 men there will undoubtedly be differences in how tall they are so the 12 pears would hang high by the standard of some of the men and the same 12 pears would hang low by the standard of other of the men. It is possible that I am really complicating a simple matter, but what is the fun of a riddle without a guess and that's my guess, "0".
Enjoy your day!!
Mrs. Ortega
