Basement Remodeling - Drywall

Last you saw, our basement was ripped up down to the bare bones. It's now looking sooo much better as the guys have gotten drywall up and can lights in (replacing those dreadful fluorescent bulbs! *shudders*).

Please ignore all the equipment all over the floor...

We were not expecting this to be changed so I don't have a before photo, but the door to the bathroom used to be on the opposite wall, where you see the 2 spots of un-painted wall. Long story short, there used to be a support pole in the middle right at the bottom of the stairs, which you had to walk around, and they removed it, replacing it with two set into the walls and out of sight - one of which had to go where the door used to be.

The bathroom itself is also undergoing some renovations (we figure we might as well do everything at once!) and there is now a shower in there and there will be shelf space above that little ledge (which is also new).

That's already looking much more comfortable than what you had before. Did you cover up some windows? I like the light in the bathroom strategically located for good reading when seated on the toilet.

Yes, we did get rid of the window wells! One was leaking and it was in sort of crooked, so we decided to just seal them up permanently rather than go through the hassle of trying to get a water-proof window that would fit.
Isn't the lighting placement great? We did that on purpose... yeah... that's it... actually I didn't even notice till you mentioned it - sorry but it would take YOU to actually plan something like that! *winks*
