Lauren drove down with us again this year as her family was unwell and not able to make it. We went for both days for the first time, so we got a hotel and felt quite grown up as we girls had our own room. :-)
Our traditional (I guess) driving-down picture.
We found out that we really weren't worth much to the hotel!
Lauren & Tara try to look demure and only succeed in looking bored.
Just getting our morning exercise...
Charlie Zahm belting it out!
Geneva - isn't she a doll? We all decided she definitely seems to have "favored baby" status down there - no lack of people to hold her!
We were serenaded by some of the young folks
(and I decided my next dress will be the same blue as Jessica's :-)
Lauren & Tara with their hero! (Or at least, one of their favorite singers!)
Who is that CUTE baby??? :-)
Joanna & I pose for one successful shot out of about 10 unsuccessful ones!
Jeremy is put in the stocks for stealing Melinda's bag! Oddly enough, they couldn't find any bag on him at all... there must be an accomplice somewhere...
The impressive wall built in front of the church. Lauren was hoping they would make someone scale it until we found out it was mostly made of fabric (notice the authentic medieval red *wagon* parked close by)
Here is adorable William directly after I asked if I could take a picture of him and was flatly refused. I took it anyway. *grin*
Tara, Lenna, Me, Sierra (great to see you girls again!)
Mr. Degenhart and his two charming daughters (adorable!)
Reformers always wear big sunglasses!
All in all it was a great weekend, and I can't forget to say that our church was well represented in the Highland Games. They always have the rock-throwing contest (there is probably a better name for it) and the stick-heaving contest (ditto), and Josh won the former (with Mr. Hirst in second!) and Joseph won the latter! Go Christ's Church! :-)
*edit* Here are the videos of Charlie Zahm singing that we took. They are in playlist format so it'll automatically switch to the next song.
Friday Concert
Saturday Concert during Lunch-time
A huge thank-you to all the Providence families who worked so very hard to pull this off! We had a great time!

Great post and over-view of the event! I'm glad that you got a bunch of pictures, I did not get to many at all (must have been to busy talking ;) Fun times!
Glad that ya'll were able to come!
btw, the log-heaving contest is called the caber toss :-) (though it was a scaled down version of the real log they normally use)
I am so happy y'all got to make it down!! It was indeed wonderful to see y'all again (even though we hardly saw each other due to running around in the back round! =))
Can't wait to see y'all for the Liberty Day Celebration!
Melissa
Methinks that us four girls could pass as sisters. Look at that picture of us?! lol...
It was marvelous to see y'all again, though I wish we could have talked more! Can't wait to see y'all again at Liberty Day!! :D *HUGS*
Thanks for the pictures! It looks like you had a great time! I love the outfits!
With Love,
R.J.
I can't tell you how disappointed I am at having missed Reformation Day. Thanks for posting the pictures! It looks like you had a blast! How was the speaker? I want to hear all about it on Thursday, as I am sure you are dying to hear how the ACT went. *just being bitter and sarcastic*
Love, Em
Dawn - Well, you got a lot of the games and I only got ONE and it wasn't even of one of our guys! Somebody I don't even know! :-)
Ah, thanks for the clarification, Emil. Somehow I think I will still forget and call it the stick-heaving contest!
Melissa - It's too bad we live so far away, since then the only times we see you are at big events when everyone is too busy to chat! I heard there is a possibility your family might stay with us for Liberty Day... *hopeful smile*
Sierra, we could, couldn't we?! We do look very much alike. Maybe you should come move in with us. Nobody would even notice....
Thanks, R.J., we did have a great time!
Awww, I'm so sorry you couldn't make it, Em! :-( The speakers were great - Josh recorded it so at Liberty Day there will be more for you to buy! LOL!
Haha!! The purse was hidden in his hood. They didn't search him until AFTER they put him in the stocks...good medieval way of doing things, I guess. Guilty until proven innocent! :)
It was so fun to see y'all again, even though we didn't have much time to talk! Sometimes having the photographers job gets in the way.... Lovely photos...y'all were all sooo cute!
See y'all in March, if not before!!
Of course, Tiffany felt compelled to blow my cover... I actually didn't have time to put the bag in my hood, as Peter absolutely couldn't wait to show off his tackling skills. I had to palm the bag - and then found out later that denying having stolen something is rather stupid when you have the stolen goods in your hand...
If that's demure, then I'm a tipsy gorilla with 7 ulcers and a bowl of Fruit Loops. ;-)
Am I allowed to leave comments as The Same Anonymous Dude?
Well, well, I see I was quite misinformed about the stolen bag affair. My apologies... though at least if someone doesn't read the comments they will think he was innocent. :-) Great to see you, Tiffany - hopefully we'll see you again before Liberty Day...
"A tipsy gorilla with 7 ulcers and a bowl of Fruit Loops"... *cough* That's one way of putting it... I guess...
And yes, The Same Anonymous Dude is perfectly acceptable. We know who you are. :-)
nice pictures. Thank you so much for "Yening" me for the weekend, I had a great time.
Oh looks like you all had a wonderful time! Wish we could have been there!
Hannah
